This Korean Bibimbap Noodle Bowl is a colourful, well-balanced dish that brings together sautéed vegetables, protein-rich tofu, and hearty Asian wheat noodles. Flavoured with the Heartful Flavours Korean Bibimbap Meal Base, it delivers authentic umami and spice in every bite. A comforting, fibre-rich, and plant-forward meal that's both satisfying and heart-friendly.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup green capsicum (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup red capsicum (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup kale (chopped)
  • 100 gm Asian-style ready-to-eat wheat noodles
  • 100 gm firm tofu (chopped in cubes)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Heartful Flavours Korean Bibimbap Meal Base
  • 1 tsp black and white sesame seeds (roasted)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
Method:
  1. Prep the ingredients:
    •  Wash and chop all vegetables. Cube the tofu and set aside.

  2. Saute the aromatics and veggies:
    • In a pan, heat 1 tsp olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.

    • Add broccoli and capsicums, Stir-fry with salt, pepper, until just tender but still vibrant. Set aside.

  3. Cook the tofu:
    • In the same pan, add another tsp of olive oil and lightly pan-fry the tofu cubes until golden on all sides.
  4. Prepare the Korean Bibimbap meal base:
    •  Empty the contents of the Heartful Flavours Korean Bibimbap meal base into a bowl and mix with water. Refer to the instructions on the packet for the correct water-to-base ratio.
  5. Prep the noodles:
    •  Heat the ready-to-eat wheat noodles by soaking them in hot water for a few minutes until warmed through or toss them in a pan with 1 tsp of olive oil

  6. Start the plating:
    • Layer the noodles in a bowl. Arrange sautéed vegetables and tofu in sections for a vibrant, traditional Bibimbap presentation. Top it with the Korean Bibimbap meal base.
  7. Garnish and serve:
    •  Garnish with sesame seeds. Enjoy warm.
